The Tribe Youth Coalition Ministry (formerly Miracle Temple Youth Coalition) started in 1988 at the request of our founder and Sr. Pastor, Apostle Bertha Shephard. It was the foundational outreach ministry for our community development organization. Pastor Shephard truly believed that we could change the world through the eyes of children.

We are committed to empowering our young people to reach their goals in life by providing guidance and positive direction in developing independent living/social skills to help enrich their experiences. In addition, our focus is to improve self-esteem, social competence, and avoidance of high-risk behaviors by providing relationships with caring adults who work to help them to achieve their potential.

By creating supportive one-on-one relationships and group dynamics; supporting individuals toward the development of their vision for the future; supporting youth in identifying resources needed to pursue higher education or a trade and improving academic achievement, we can make those objectives a reality.

Our guiding scripture is Luke 18:15-17. 15 "And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them: but when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them." 16 "But Jesus called them unto him, and said, suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God."

 

Meeting Dates

The Tribe Youth Coalition Ministry meets the fourth Saturday of every month. Youth bible study is also available every Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
